About vcard QR codes
A vCard QR code is a business card that saves itself. One scan and your name, phone number, email and company land in the phone's contacts — no typing, no app, no card to lose.
The code carries a vCard 3.0 record, the format Android and iOS contact apps both understand. Every field is escaped properly, so a company name containing a comma or a note spanning several lines does not corrupt the record.
Keep it lean. A vCard with a postal address, a long note and five phone numbers produces a dense symbol that is hard to scan from a business card at arm's length. Name, phone, email and company is the combination that works.
How to create one
- Enter the essentials. Name, phone, email and company. Anything else is optional and adds density.
- Style the code. Open the Design tab to set colours, module shapes and an optional centre logo.
- Download. SVG for print, PNG or WebP for screens. Test the result with a real phone before you print a run.

Frequently asked questions
- Which vCard version is used?
- vCard 3.0, which has the broadest support across iOS and Android contact apps. Newer 4.0 features are not worth the compatibility risk on a printed card.
- Why is my vCard code so dense?
- Every field adds bytes. A full postal address and a note can double the payload. Drop the fields you do not need, or print the code slightly larger.
- Can I include a photo?
- Technically vCard supports an embedded photo, but even a small one blows past a QR code's practical capacity. Link to a profile page instead.
- Is it free, and does the code expire?
- Free, with no account and no watermark. The code is static, so the content lives in the pattern itself — there is no redirect to switch off and no scan limit to hit.
- Is my data sent to your servers?
- No. The code is built by JavaScript in your browser. Nothing you type is transmitted, which you can verify in your browser's network tab.
