Who is responsible

QRBeam is operated by Orbion Teknoloji Limited Şirketi, which is the data controller for the limited processing described below. Contact: [email protected].

The short version

The QR codes you create are generated by JavaScript running on your own device. The link, Wi-Fi password, contact details or any other content you type is never sent to QRBeam. We could not read it, store it, sell it or hand it over, because it never arrives.

We do serve advertising through Google AdSense, and we count visits with Google Analytics. Both involve cookies and data collected by Google, and both are held behind the consent banner. That part is explained in full below, along with how to turn it off.

What we do not collect

• The content of any QR code you generate.
• Uploaded logo images — these are read in the browser and never uploaded.
• Accounts, names or email addresses. There is no sign-up.
• Anything you type into a form on this site, with the single exception of a message you deliberately send us by email.

What is processed automatically

Server logs

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records standard request information — IP address, timestamp, requested path, user agent — to deliver pages and protect against abuse. These logs are retained for a short period and are not linked to any identity. Vercel acts as our hosting processor; see the Vercel privacy policy.

Rate limiting

Our public QR API applies a per-IP request limit. The IP address is held in memory only for the length of the limiting window and is never written to a database.

Local storage

Two preferences are stored in your browser's local storage: your light/dark theme choice, and your answer to the consent banner. Both stay on your device and are never transmitted. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Audience measurement

If analytics is enabled on this deployment, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It records things like the page you are on, roughly where in the world you are, your device type and how you arrived. It does not tell us who you are, and it never sees the content of a QR code — that is generated on your device and is not part of any page address we measure.

Analytics is governed by the same consent banner as advertising. Until you accept, Google Consent Mode holds analytics_storage at denied, which means no analytics cookie or identifier is written. If you decline, that stays the case permanently. Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited; see Google's privacy policy.

Advertising

This site is free because it carries advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, measure them and — where you have consented — to personalise them based on your prior browsing.

• We use Google Consent Mode. Until you accept, advertising and analytics storage are set to denied and no advertising cookies are written.
• If you decline, you may still see ads, but they are non-personalised and based only on the page you are on.
• The content of your QR codes is never shared with Google or any other advertiser, because it never leaves your browser.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, Türkiye or a US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have rights over personal data relating to you — including access, correction, deletion and objection to processing. Because we hold essentially no personal data, most requests will be answered by telling you exactly that. Requests relating to advertising data held by Google should be directed to Google, who is an independent controller for that processing.

You can withdraw or change your advertising consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the consent banner back.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Because the site holds no accounts, we have no way to notify you directly — checking this page is the only mechanism.
